Nutrition for Hair Fall Losing hair strand is a common issue among many people and diet is the recent one to be blamed. High fat diet, high proteins from animal origin and high salt diet tend to damage the kidneys which create an acidic blood. This along with vitamin deficiencies is one of the recent leading factors for hair loss.
- Avoid consuming excessive amounts of fat and salt in the diet especially from the animal origin. The proteins and fats in them tend to make the blood acidic which in turn causes hair loss.
- Have a healthy meal including lots of fresh fruits and vegetables, whole cereals and grains, sprouts and pulses. Fresh water fish, lean cuts of poultry, lean meat, eggs and skimmed milk products should be consumed in moderation. Correct any nutritional deficiencies (if any) as they can also be a cause for hair loss.
- The use of styling products containing excessive amounts of chemicals should be avoided. Keep your hair clean and often use a natural conditioner for less breakage and loss.
- Avoid any kind of stress, be it physical or emotional as hair strands are literally lost when a person is under stress. If hair loss is due to some underlying skin ailment then consult a specialist for the same.
