Weight Loss Advice There is no miracle remedy for increased body weight. Weight loss is achieved by adherence to a fixed and balanced diet. Choosing foods in a wise manner is essential. A healthy diet comprising of the basic five food groups is helpful. A diet rich in fresh fruits and vegetables provide phyto nutrients and antioxidants. Whole grains and cereals provide insoluble fibre and other B complex vitamins. Adequate amount of water, around eight to ten glasses, eliminates the toxic metabolites and other unwanted chemicals form the body.
Eating less amount of food is not allowed, as the hunger pangs increase by the end of the day. About four or five meals are recommended, instead of three. Eating small quantity at frequent intervals proves useful in decreasing the appetite. Caffeinated and carbonated beverages not allowed. Alcohol and related beverages are not recommended, as they provide ‘empty calories'. Weight loss is also achieved by regular exercise. Walking, swimming and jogging prove beneficial. Cycling is also helpful. Weight loss pills and weight loss surgery are the other ways of weight loss. Diet pills have certain side effects, while weight loss surgeries prove expensive and might result in other complications.
