Dietary Advice for Fast Weight Loss

The one week diet is also referred to as the GM diet or the General Motors diet, as it was designed for the employees of GM motors. The secret of this plan lies in the fact that energy expenditure is greater than energy intake, in terms of calories. All fruits are consumed on the first day, except bananas. Water melons and cantaloupes are especially considered. All vegetables comprise the second day in the raw or cooked form.

A large baked potato is allowed with a drop of butter. A combination of vegetables and fruits are taken on day three. Potatoes and bananas are exempted. Day four comprises of milk and bananas. About eight bananas with three glasses of milk are taken. Wonder soup in unlimited quantities is taken. The wonder soup comprises of 6 onions, 28 ounces of water, 2 green peppers, tomatoes, cabbage, celery and herbs. Fifth day is the day of feasting. Tomatoes and beef are consumed.

About six tomatoes and 10 ounce portions of beef or hamburger are taken. Water intake throughout the week should be around 10 glasses. Increase your water intake on the fifth day by a quart. Unlimited amount of beef and vegetables are consumed on day six. Seventh day is a day for vegetables, brown rice and fruit juices. Alcohol intake is not permitted. This diet is supposed to result in a 10 to 17 pounds weight loss.
