tribulus terrestris good for body building.this natural medicine how i get from india.this hindi name gokhsura.i am from south india.tribulus terrestris what name in tamil or malayalam languages.pls explain me.

Tribulus Terrestris for Body Building
Tribulus terrestris belong to the family Zygophyllaceae.The other names for tribulus terrestris are Puncture vine, small caltrops in English, Nerunjil in Tamil and Malayalam, Gokhsura in Sanskrit and gakhru in Hindi.The other synonyms in Tamil are Thirikandam, Thirikandakam, Sutham, Kittiram, Aswachattiram. The entire plant is used and it is astringent and sweet.It is a prostrate annual plant that grows at the length of 90 cm with paripinnate leaves. The flowers are small, yellowish and solitary. The fruits are five angled and spinous.It grows throughout India in hotter and dry areas along the road side. It is also available in the form of powder that can be used as mood enhancing smoke or tea infusion and decoction.It is also available in the form of extract.
In some states of United States it is considered as invasive plant and it is found in America and Australia native of the south region. It has been used as tonics in Ayurvedic use. It is used as a booster to increase the sex drive. Studies have suggested that it can enhance the hormone levels within the normal range. It can increase the testosterone by increasing the leutinizing hormone and gonadotropin releasing hormone. This hormone is effective in building muscles as well as improving fertility and libido. Apart from this it has positive effect on bone marrow activity and immune system. It is an aphrodisiac, diuretic and nervine.The decoction of entire plant and fruit is used to correct anuria, oliguria, burning micturation and urinary tract infection. This infusion is also useful for correcting erectile dysfunction in impotency; improving the sperm count in oligospermia.It is also used as a drug for gonorrhea and spermatorrhoea.
