Milk help prevents migraine attacks

Mammals which give milk include goat, buffalo, camel and sheep.



But cow’s milk is preferred throughout the world over milk from any other mammals for various purposes.
Infants are feed only on milk for 6 months after birth and it forms a basis of the diet for children and adults.



Milk is not only a very good source of calcium, but it also provides many more other essential nutrients.



Health benefits of milk

  •   The combination of calcium, vitamin D and vitamin K present in milk is rare and is very essential for maintaining density and strength of bones.
  •  The calcium present in milk is of more importance. Besides building strong bones and avoiding bone loss; it helps people to reduce weight especially near the waistline, prevents childhood obesity, reduces the symptoms of PMS during the second half of the menstrual period and prevents migraine attacks.
  •  Milk is very good source for iodine which is a component of thyroid hormones.
  •  Milk also provides vitamin B12 (vitamin B12 is least found in vegetarian food) and riboflavin, both of which are important for energy production and cardiovascular health.
  •  Milk provides potassium which is essential for heart function and maintaining normal blood pressure. 
  •  The vitamin A present in milk, serves as an antioxidant and is important for the immune function.
  •  The conjugated linoleic acid present in milk produced by grass fed cows inhibits colorectal cancer, skin cancer and breast cancer cells.

  •   150 ml (1 cup) of cow's milk provides 23% of the daily value for phosphorus 29% of the daily value for calcium along with16% of daily value for protein. 
  •  Whey proteins – a high quality protein derived from cows milk is a rich source of essential amino acids and is very beneficial in weight management, sports nutrition (for building muscles), immune health and bone health.  
  •  Calcium from curd is more readily available to the body than calcium from milk. 
  •  Vegetarians whose diet lack in fish, milk (organic) and cheese can form a source of omega 3 fatty acids.
  •  Milk calcium does not promote kidney stone formation. People who drink milk are 27% less likely to form kidney stones compared to the ones who don’t.
