You may suffer from loose motion and loss of appetite in gastritis. The other symptoms also include nausea, vomiting, headache, heart burn, dizziness and pain in the stomach. Loose motion occurs due to intestinal catarrh. Sometimes loose motion also occurs if there is acute or chronic infection of the stomach.
This infection generally occurs if the white blood cells enter the stomach through a certain injury.
You may suffer from loss of appetite in gastritis as the digestion does not occur properly. Any disorder in your stomach lining can affect the digestion and can lead to ulcers in the stomach. You may have a feeling of fullness in the stomach and there is abdominal pain.
Thus you may not feel like eating food. Loss of weight may not be the direct symptom of gastritis. However loss of appetite, loose motion, nausea and vomiting can reduce the intake of food. Thus your body may receive very less nutrients. This can lead to loss of weight.
