OsteoporosisOsteoporosis is a sickness of the bones that is most common in elderly people due to lack of calcium and to some not having a proper posture of the back. But this can also occur to individuals at a still a young age. What you see in TV commercials of old people that have arched backs are examples of Osteoporosis. Osteoporosis normally appears in elderly men and women who have reached past their 60s. It would be better to treat your arched back at an early time before you become the next Hunchback of Notre Dame.
Osteoporosis does not only appear on the back, but also appears on the wrists and sometimes the hips. This is because of the dislocation of the vertebra that can lead to a hunched back, lack of height and may sometimes make individuals with Osteoporosis suffer disability, perhaps the inability to walk, talk or even paralysis. But do not fret because there is a treatment to lighten up the suffering of patients carrying this burden. There is an Osteoporosis treatment that will slow down the loss of the bones; this is what the doctors call the Pathologic treatment. The treatment undergoes three specifications, namely strict medications, nutritional supplements and managing the weight of the patients. They are required to follow strict exercises in order for their bones to not lose its edge.
There is also a specialized diet that is purposely designed for patients with Osteoporosis. The Osteoporosis diet needs an average consumption of calcium, a balanced nutrition of regular vitamins and minerals and a food diet that is high in calories and fiber. Patients with Osteoporosis need to follow a healthy diet in order for them to live the comfort of having a healthy lifestyle despite of the bone fracture they have. Once they follow the basic rules, their bones will be totally fed with all the Calcium it can consume to give their patients the strong bones they deserve.
Avoid taking in too much Vitamin D and beverages high in caffeine because they sometimes tend to suck all the Calcium in your bones that might leave you weak and unhealthy. Take in lots of milk, cheese, vegetables and fruits that are high in Calcium, you will not have the benefit of a doubt in gaining back your strong bones. Have your doctor stress out what best Osteoporosis diet fits you. So you may live a healthy and fruitful life.
