CABBAGE
Brassica oleracea

Archaeologists say that the cabbage was one of the first vegetables to be cultivated.



There has been some preliminary research work carried out on the therapeutic properties of cabbages but further research is still pending.

Cabbage may be ingested in juice form, raw, or cooked.



It forms a significant part of the diet of many countries. Cabbages have a valuable nutritional content.



It has proven to be very effective when used to treat ulcers and other digestive ailments.

An excess of the juice should be avoided as it may lead to goiter. 

CARROT
Daucus carota

Carrot juice is one of the most important juices in juice therapy. It has been used as a therapeutic agent since the days of the ancient Greeks. Carrots also form a staple part of the diet of various countries and may also be used raw in salads, or cooked.

Carrots contain pro-Vitamin A, and carotene. It is especially recommended for young infants and nursing mothers.



The most significant feature of carrots is that they supply the body with its required allowance of Vitamin A without any of the saturated fats associated with other sources such as eggs, and butter.
