TURNIP
Brassica rapa

Turnips are an excellent source of vitamin C, calcium, and oxalic acid.



These nutritional elements are concentrated in the tops of the turnip, so do ensure that you buy whole turnips with their tops intact.

Turnip juice is good for the kidney stones and is also used as a general tonic.



A mixture of turnip, watercress, spinach, and carrot juice is used for treating hemorrhoids.



Turnip juice is also used in combination with lemon juice as an expectorant to treat coughs and bronchitis.

WATERCRESS
Nasturtium officinale

Watercress is an excellent source of sulfur, iron, calcium, carotene and vitamin C. it has been widely used in traditional systems of medicine as a tonic and for treating conditions of the gall bladder and liver.



Watercress juice is widely used in combination with other juices to treat a variety of ailments. It is mixed with cucumber and beet juice to treat rheumatism. It is also used with turnip, spinach, and carrot juice to treat anemia and clear coagulation of piles. When mixed with carrot, parsley and potato juice, it is very effective in bringing relief to sufferers of emphysema.
